I wrote one chapter! Yay! My first step in achieving my goal of world domination! Kidding. I don't want to rule anything. In fact, I don't even like tiaras!
But I did start a fresh book. And I did send out an older book. And... well, basically I have bunches of books.
Which brings me to today's question: Do you ever feel overwhelmed with the amount of books that you have? Like... do you have a bunch of WIP's that just hang out, wondering how they'll end?
Ugh. Because I do. And I wish the novel fairy would come down and help me finish them all.
Oh, and a new vlog is up on lipgloss lit! Check it out. :)

some are not meant to be finished...
What a great problem to have - really! I can finish, but often the trouble for me is starting. Maybe we should get together...you start a book, I'll finish it...
I wonder if you realize how rare you are?! This is completely abnormal in the best possible way. I would love to choose my next project by closing my eyes, spinning my mouse around, and seeing which book on my desktop it pointed to!
What's your secret, anyway? I would love you to blog about your writing process. I need tips.
See, I can write the first chapter of pretty much anything. But my problem is, I have so many ideas that I can't work on them. So I write a first chapter(cuz I don't outline) and then send it to the novel graveyard.(My document files)
It's about one in every ten ideas gets past the first chapter. It actually frustrates me, because it's like once I lose interest in my book... I can't finish it! Well, not unless wonderful people like Heather harrass me! haha.
I think I posted once on my writing process, Christy! I have to look it up.
Although right now, I just finished chapter two in my Fresh WIP. It's exciting. I love when something sticks!
I wouldn't say so much that I have tons of unfinished NOVELS sitting around, like you, but I have I'd say about 15 books worth of stories floating around in my brain all the time.
But like I said before, I, unlike you, like to outline my stories before I write them. Hence the lack of started novels. I do, however, actually have quite a few outlines lying around.
It makes me feel crazy good to know that someone else writes loads of first chapters. I feel like I'm awesome at titles, good at first chapters, and miserable at everything else!
What's WIPs?
"OMG, he's so unup!"
So you have lots of novels lying around? Cluttering your passage from your desk to the veranda! Hmph! I fart in your general direction.
Although I love the Dr. Dolittle-dart-in-the-globe technique of starting a new project.
I have one book done, one that needs a rewrite, and have started a new book. I tried an adaptation of a script for a about a week, but it just didn't work. And for the first time, I understood artists who say they can't go backwards or revisit old work. I wanted to move on to the next thing. So I say congrats on a happy problem. And you could end up like Brett Hartinger and sell a bunch at once. Now THAT'S a happy problem.
